Northlake is the "City of Friendly People." Located only 14 miles from downtown Chicago, and 8 miles from O'Hare International Airport, Northlake is your hometown in the city.

The Northlake city government serves a citizenry of 12,000 people, and strives to be a responsive, progressive organization with a strong vision for our bright future.

The City of Northlake provides a full range of municipal services, including public safety (police), public works, streets and sanitation. The City owns and operates its own water system supplied by Lake Michigan water purchased through Melrose Park and the City of Chicago. Natural gas is supplied by Nicor and electricity is provided by Commonwealth Edison.
